This was my second car. It's a '78 Pontiac Trans Am. I'm pretty sure it was a Y88 gold special eagle edition. Had I known what that meant at the time, I might still have the car today. It was a 400 (not the junk Olds 403) 4-speed with t-tops, and the motor had some performance parts when I bought the car. It was a trailer park magnet, but I didn't care. Ever since the first time I saw the movie Smoky and the Bandit, when I was maybe 7 years old, I knew I had to have a '77 or '78 Trans Am. I sold it when I went to college. I couldn't afford to put gas in the tank, much less paint it black or keep replacing the clutch and tires every time I burned them up.
